Titanic in Trouble Again

Saturday August 9, 2003
In a peculiar twist of fate, according to an article in the New York Times, the wreck of the Titantic, hidden and believed lost for 70 years in the north Atlantic, and then found in 1985, is now a subject of concern for preservationists. The article, Scientists Warn That Visitors Are Loving Titanic to Death, reports that tourists paying up to $36,000 for a visit, are damaging the remains. As George Harrison might have said, "All things must pass."
