As you probably know, universities around the country are rallying to support the students and institutions displaced by the recent hurricane. Yesterday President Gutmann made a public announcement, including a statement that "Penn expects to be able to accommodate as many as 100 undergraduate students. In addition, graduate and professional students will be considered on an individual basis, depending on available space." The full announcement is at

Many of our graduate and professional schools are fielding calls from dislocated students looking to transfer. A voicemail phone tree (215-573-4338) has been established to triage calls to the appropriate offices. Karen Lawrence
