The Mary Rose Archaeological Services is conducting what will likely be the last set of dives on the wrecksite Henry VIII's battle ship the Mary Rose, sunk off Portsmouth, England in 1545. The Mary Rose was raised in the 1990s and is on display at the Portmouth Historic Shipyard. The goal of this last season is to recover the stem timber and anchor, and then cover the wrecksite for conservation purposes. The site will feature situation reports through the dive season, set to run between September 24 and October 15, 2005.
