September 2006. University of Sydney Central Asian Programme. Excavations and work on wall paintings in western Uzbekistan at the the fortified centre of Kazakl'i-yatkan. The site dates broadly in the period from the 6th century BC to the 2nd century AD. Volunteers are sought for the 2005 field season which will run for 23 days beginning August 30.
