Tell es-Safi Excavtions Produce Early Inscription

Results from the 2005 Tell es-Safi excavations by Aren Maeir at Bar-Ilan University are reported in this news story from the Jerusalem Post. Maeir has discovered a potsherd with an inscription dated to the 10th or early 9th century BC in prot-Canaanite lettering.
