Michael Wood's book In Search of Myths and Heroes is based on a British Broadcasting mini-series that aired in the UK during the summer of 2005. I found the book rather wistful in tone, but with such breathtaking photography that I eagerly awaited the arrival of the series to American TV. Luckily for me and the rest of us, PBS has scheduled the BBC program associated with this book beginning with Parts 1 and 2 on Wednesday, November 16th. About's Ancient History Guide has compiled some additional information on Myths and Heroes including links to three of the four myths covered, the Queen of Sheba, King Arthur, and Jason and the Golden Fleece.
