Today I ran across this interesting archaeology blog by Aarhus University graduate student Troels Myrup Kristensen, called Towards an Archaeology of Iconoclasm. There's an interesting discussion going on about the ethics of collecting, arising out of the discovery that a bust of Nero is a fake:
