The recent news about the australopithicus Taung Baby, whose skull had holes attributed to being carried off by an eagle, was originally suggested in a 1996 article in Nature. In honor of that article, the Annals of Improbable Research conducted a limerick contest, the results of which were definitely worth a giggle.
