Teenage Cave Art

Follow me on:

According to this news story in Live Science, paleobiologist Dale Guthrie believes that cave art was the result of teenage male behavior. Hmmm. I wonder if they cut their hair short, didn't pierce their noses and wore tailored pants to annoy their parents?

I dunno. I think it's tough enough to figure out modern teenage behavior, when we actually have sociologists around chasing after them. Putting modern behaviors on ancient cultures has got to be a tiny bit more risky than I'm willing to have confidence in.
