Physical anthropologist Douglas Owsley, in a paper at the Amerian Academy of Forensic Sciences this week in Seattle, reports his interpretations of the Kennewick Man burial as an intentional burial, based on the position of the body and mineral staining, among other things. Owsley was one of the eight scientists who sued to gain access to the Kennewick Man, an 8000 year old skeleton with a disputed heritage, found eroding out of the Columbia river several years ago.
