Andrew Cagle's Archaeoblog has the story today about the discovery of the 18th dynasty Egyptian queen Hatshepsut's mummy, on the third floor of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, of all places. Director Zahi Hawass reports that archaeologists have re-identified a couple of mummies from the KV-60 site and one of them is the well-known Pharaoh. ArchaeoBlog | Hatshepsut's Mummy Found?
The picture is of a woman walking the arcade in Hatshepsut's palace, the fabulous building called Deir el Bahri, and it was taken last year by Oscar Dahl (c) 2005). Andrew has photographs on his blog from the new 'temple' found this winter.

Cud watch only upto DNA test y.day. I am infact interested to know, as to which mummy amoung the last 2 was identified as Queen Hatshepsut.. I feel the one with gentle looks called as nanny cud hv been Hatshepsut. Anyways. let me know as to which among the 2 mummies was she?????? Cud u guys find it out?
