Special Exhibition Review: Hatshepsut: From Queen to Pharaoh

Tuesday April 4, 2006
Special Exhibition Review: Hatshepsut: From Queen to Pharaoh Stan Parchin, Senior Correspondent for Museums and Special Exhibitions at About's Art History site, is a specialist in Ancient Egyptian art with a longtime interest in Hatshepsut, who was queen and pharaoh during the 18th dynasty of New Kingdom Egypt in the fifteenth century BC. Stan was the perfect man to send to the special exhibition on Queen Hatshepsut, currently at The Metropolitan Museum of Art's second-floor Tisch Galleries in New York City; and his review of the exhibition delightfully detailed.
