Our European History guide, Robert Wilde, picked up on this story in the Hornsby and Crouch End Journal, where a group of archaeologists are berated for .... gasp! making an error when searching for the foundations for an English manor house. I don't know where the Hornsby and Crouch End Journal got the idea that archaeologists are infallible, but... there you go.
Thanks to Robert for the heads-up.
