Archaeology for the Timid

From one of my guilty pleasures, the Annals of Improbable Research, a quote from Earle Spamer on why archaeology is a good answer for students who want to be scientists, but only if it doesn't involve hard science; and then investigator Robin Abrahams has a witty response:
