The Society for Historical Archaeology just released its newly refurbished website, in the same place as always http://www.sha.org. This new permutation has several useful things for the casual reader, including a Current Research page and some general bibliographies. All book reviews from 2006 onward will be published online, a new thing and most welcome. The site also has what it has always had, titles and abstracts of the most recent Historical Archaeology issues, a list of university departments specializing in historical archaeology. program details of upcoming HA meetings, and info on careers and educational resources.
Most exciting for a geek like me (and other fans of open source) is that the website authors state that 'soon' they'll have the entire contents of the journal Historical Archaeology between 1967 and 2000 (essentially the contents of the CD that came out a few years ago). Now that will indeed be a remarkable resource.
