Ecotourism---the practice of "responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people", according to the International Ecotourism Society---is fast becoming an important form of national and international travel. Archaeological sites are not infrequently part and parcel of these kinds of travel. In Ecotourism and Archaeology, Laura Howard, owner/operator of Beyond Touring, discusses her archaeology-related ecotourism business which has operated in Belize since 1995.
