
No one would ever accuse me of being an Egyptologist (unless you call having a crush on Flinders-Petrie counts), so when faithful reader G wrote to chide me that the picture I had attached to my definition of the Great Pyramid was in point of fact Khafre's Pyramid, I was shocked, but not entirely surprised. In gratitude for G's correction, and to make up for my foolish slip, I put together a little slide show of the four elements of the pyramid complexes in the Giza Plateau:
Khufu's Pyramid,
Khafre's Pyramid,
Menkaure's Pyramid, and
the Sphinx. There are several excellent sources of information about the Pyramids of Giza, so I didn't go into detail, and a good thing too!
