With the recent spate of news articles about our nearest human neighbor, much discussion has been up about how you should spell the name, with a 'th' or with a 't'. Originally I felt it was a no-brainer to stay with the 'th', because 1) that's what most people recognize, 2) no matter how you spell it, it's still pronounced Nee-an-der-tall, and 3) if it ain't broke, don't fix it. But I am just a public archaeologist and on most issues of such earth-shattering importance will waver if pressed.
