Several new things online at TAC this week, including a video on forensic archaeology and human rights abuses called "Following Antigone", a 2002 film slide show with narration by Witness and the Argentine Forensic Anthropology Team (EAAF) on their efforts to investigate the 1992 El Mozote massacre in El Salvador.
"Trial of a Mummy" is a film on the discovery and investigation of the mummy of Khonso-Imhep, a lead musician of the 18th dynasty Egypt (New Kingdom). The film includes a reconstructed flashback to Khonso-Imhep's mummification and ascent into the higher realms where his soul is weighed by Osiris and Isis, and the rituals involved with the placement of his body into the tomb, ending on a fairly philosophical momen. In Egyptian, Arabic, French and English with English subtitles, written and directed by Mohamed El Abassery.
Also online is a preview of the 2006 TAC Film Festival.
