With the help of Ronald Hicks at Ball State University, I finally got around to compiling dates and places for the major domesticated plants developed by humans for our peculiar uses. In the list below you'll find a link to the table with baseline information, which itself includes links to pages with detailed information including bibliographic references, a summary of the evidence, and a list of important sites. Much more to come, but at least its a start....

Tip on the bannana, there was an article within the last year or two in archaeology magazine. Pretty interesting. Also, google and look for the video where evangelist Ray Comfort’s claims that the bannana was specifically designed for human consumption. Its a riot!

Thanks for the tip, I’ll look for it. I’m right now trying to find info on the reindeer (animals, not plants), but still very elusive for some reason….
