John Romer's book The Great Pyramid: Ancient Egypt Revisited was published this spring by Cambridge University Press.
I'm no egyptologist, as anyone can tell you, but I found this book fascinating, instilling in me an admiration for the people who built Khufu's pyramid 4500 years ago bordering on flat-out jaw-dropping astonishment. Call me a new-born pyramidiot if you must.
The book is available at the Cambridge University Press website or through Pricegrabber, and my review of it goes into detail.
