The Domestication of Chickpeas

Chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans) are those tasty little tidbits that you run across in Mediterranean, Indian and African cuisines. But who knew they had such an interesting history of domestication? An article in an upcoming issue of Journal of Archaeological Science got me started down this path, so enjoy.
