Hatshepsut's successor in the New Kingdom of Egypt was another one of those imperialist types, Tuthmose (or Tuthmosis) III, and one of his great battles was at the site of Megiddo in today's Israel, and once called Armageddon. N.S. Gill, our Guide to Ancient History, has the inside story:
