There are a lot of interesting archaeological sites in the world, and I've got some information and a picture or two on a bunch of them, so let's spend the rest of the summer traveling the world to look at little known archaeology.

Today's site is the Maya site of Nakbe, situated in the central lowlands of the Petén peninsula of Guatemala. Nakbe was most populated and busy during the Middle Pre-Classic period, between about 600 and 350 BC.
