Kebara Cave is a rockshelter in Mount Carmel Israel,
with multiple occupations dated to the Middle Paleolithic and Natufian periods.
Kebara Cave is one of several rockshelters in Mount Carmel, and, like most of them, Kebara Cave was used by Neanderthals. A nearly complete skeleton of a Neanderthal was recovered there; the Natufian period site includes a large pit with seventeen people buried in it.
