My main reason for doing this website (if you don't already know it) is to provide the general public reasonable access to the academic literature. Lots of really cool stuff goes on the archaeological world that never makes onto the front page of the NYT, the MSNBC nightly news, or the home pages of CNN.
Over the years I've played with ideas on how best to make the ideas I read in scientific articles available to the public; not everything I tried worked really well.
