Cannibalism More Common than We Thought?

I recently ran across an interesting paper of a few years ago arguing that our genetic propensity to resist prion diseases--Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, kuru, and scrapie--came about as a result of our cannibalistic past, and it convinced me it was time to update my definition of cannibalism.
