Let me make sure I have this right…. The cup is in the hands of a priest and holds the blood of a human sacrificial victim and the dog is hoping something spills out. Lovely.

The really scary thing about this–is there is archaeological evidence that the Moche acted out this scene (and others) in some kind of recurring grisly pageant.
