I do not know Colin Renfrew personally, but I am a long-time fan of the breath-taking breadth of his knowledge, study and writings. If you don't know Colin Renfrew but are curious to find out, Saving Antiquities for Everyone (SAFE) is running a campaign to spread the word about this influential archaeologist and his work helping SAFE curb archaeological looting. Called Who is Colin Renfrew?, the SAFE campaign will give ten free tickets to people who have not heard of him, or the issues involved with artifact looting, to attend Renfrew's lecture and reception to be held at the Marriott Downtown Hotel in Philadelphia on Saturday night, January 10, 2009.
