Coatepec or Serpent Mountain, is the name of a city in Veracruz state in Mexico: it is also the name of a sacred, mythological place, a mountain in fact, where the Aztec god Huitzilopochtli was born, and, with the help of his 400 brothers, killed his sister to stop her from killing their mother. Those crazy Aztecs!
