Definition: The name given by archaeologists to a stone flake technology produced by Near Eastern hominids between the Lower and Middle Paleolithic (Mousterian) period, ca. 180,000 BP. Stone tools made during the Jabrudian periodinclude double and triple edged side-scrapers, small retouched flakes, denticulates and notched tools, and low frequencies of hand-axes.
