Definition: Archaeological site and Maya capital mostly buried under what is now Guatemala City. Occupied from approximately 1000 BC (Middle Formative) to AD 900 (Late Classic), the site was most important during the Arenal phase (Formative). Excavated first by Manual Gamio.
