Definition: An upper paleolithic culture in the Ukraine, dated between 26,000 and 12,500 years before the present---and considered by some a culture which may potentially be ancestral to Clovis in the New World.

The period from about 30,000 years ago to 10,000 years ago, when humans developed new techniques of stone working, and art work appeared for the first time, is known as the Upper Paleolithic period. This is also the period when humans, called Paleoindians, first appeared in the Americas.
