Definition:
La Chapelle aux Saintes is an achaeological site in France, consisting of a Neaderthal skeleton, with chert and flint tools and a bison leg on his chest, and according to part of the professional community, intentionally buried. This is one of the sites frequently cited as evidence that Neanderthals buried one another and therefore had human-like rituals.
