Definition: A rockshelter in northern Madagascar, Lakaton'i Anja is a coastal occupation, dated between AD 250 and 970, with earthenware pottery, animal and fishbone in the assemblage. One of the few sites excavated to date in the country, the site may be related to Indian Ocean trading.
