Laoguantai Culture

Definition:
The oldest Neolithic culture in the Shaanxi region of China, Laoguantai culture also contains some of the earliest evidence for the rice cultivation in China, dated by C14 of around 5000 BC; dendrochronological data pushes some aspects of the culture back to 7600 BC. Similar in time to the BeiXun culture.
