Li Chi [1896-1979]

Definition:
Chinese archaeologist Li Chi is considered the father of modern Chinese archaeology. He conducted the first systematic surveys in China, and is known in the west primarily for his excavations at the site of An-Yang. One of his students was Kwang-Chih Chang.
