Majiayao culture

Definition: The Majiayao culture is dated to the Early Neolithic [3190 to 1715 BC] China, and was located in the upper reaches of the Yellow River. Ceramics were figured, with geometric, birds, frogs, human faces, squash, shellfish and other patterns.
