Louis Malleret

Definition:
French archaeologist Louis Malleret, of the Ecole Francaise d'Extreme-Oriente (EFEO), conducted excavations in southeast Asia in the 1940s, most particularly at Funan and Oc Eo in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. His excavations at Oc Eo were halted by World War II, when the Japanese took over Vietnam in March 1945.
