Max Mallowan [1904-1978]

Definition: English archaeologist Max Mallowan was a student of Leonard Woolley's, who excavated at Ur, Nimrud, and Nineveh during the 1920s through 1950s. He was long associated with the British School of Archaeology in Baghdad, but is probably, poor fellow, known best as mystery writer Agatha Christie's second husband.
