Definition:
Pithouse and puebloan culture of the American southwest, who lived in the highlands of southwestern New Mexico and east-central Arizona between about 200 and 1000 AD. The Mogollon culture was named by early investigator Emil Haury, based on excavations at Mogollon Village and Harris Village. The classic later period is called Mimbres.
