Several excellent books have come across my desk recently on classical Greece and its forebears.

Art and architecture of ancient Greece and its forebears, by William R. Biers.

2.) Finding the Walls of Troy
Susan Heuck Allen's book describing the relationship of Heinrich Schliemann and Frank Calvert, discoverers of Troy.

3.) Atlantis Destroyed
Was the Minoan culture the basis for the Atlantis myth? A book by Rodney Castleden postulates just that.

4.) The Folds of Parnassos
"Land and Ethnicity in Ancient Phokis," a book on the archaeological, ethnological, and documentary sources on people who lived in area in Greece known as Phokis, from their earliest conceptions of themselves as a group in the 7th century BC to the depopulation during the early Roman period. Also includes a gazetteer of Phokian sites.
