Guide Rating and Review: Archaeological Site Museum Shops
The Mammoth Site
by K. Kris Hirst

Guide Rating -

The Mammoth Site of Hot Springs, South Dakota, is a paleontological site where the bones of extinct elephants and other ice age megafauna were preserved in a limestone sinkhole. The shop has reproductions of mammoth teeth and bones, and a solid collection of books on pleistocene animals. T-shirts, books, videos, prints, and some cool posters too; also curriculum guides for that teacher on your list.

The shop is limited to phone, fax, or mail orders; although there is a printable order form to fax, there is no online shopping.
