Operates a cultural resource management office as a small business enterprise or part of a larger corporation

Duties:

Supervises project archaeologists, writes and maintains budgets, writes proposals, runs the business

Locations:

Small and large cultural resource firms throughout the world

Job Type:

Permanent, fulltime, with benefits. Usually more than full-time, in fact, with typically long work weeks.

Availability of Employment:

Relatively available; usually only one to a small cultural resource firm, although there may be several in larger firms with satellite offices. Entrepreneurs can start their own businesses; and there are DBE (disadvantaged business enterprise) benefits in the US for women, veterans, and minorities.

Education Level Required:

Advanced degree in anthropology or archaeology, with a lot of supervisory experience in the field
