Manage and oversee artifact cleaning, analysis, and curating.

Duties:
Maintain oversight on all the artifacts that come into the laboratory; track their progress, seeing that they are properly cleaned and prepared for conservation, arrange for their analysis, prepare databases, and curate or arrange for curation
Locations:
At cultural resource firm locations and universities throughout the world.
Job Type:
Permanent, usually benefited; although there are laboratory supervisors who are hired for single large temporary projects that may last for a few years.
Availability of Employment:
Cultural resource firms, universities, other medium to large businesses.
Education Level Required:
Usually some advanced education in museum studies or some archaeological training.
