Definition: German born archaeologist and paleontologist Otto Bader was associated with the Russian Academy of Sciences in the mid-1950s and 1960s, when he excavated the important paleolithic sites of Sungir and Kapova Cave. Father of archaeologist Nikolai O. Bader, Bader was also a faculty member at Perm State University.
