Definition: British archaeologist Grahame Clark was one of those rare individuals who know they want to be in archaeology at age 10, publishing professional papers for the Natural History Society while still a schoolboy at Marlborough College. Associated with Cambridge University as student and faculty member, Clark conducted important excavations at Star Carr, and made substantial contributions to the interdisciplinary science of environmental archaeology.
