Definition: Scots archaeologist Graham Ritchie is probably best known for his extensive work in arms and armory of Iron Age (Celtic) Scotland. Educated at Edinburgh, Ritchie was associated with the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland for most of his life. He worked at sites such as Wayland's Smithy, and led the survey of Argyll, which culminated in the Archaeology of Argyll, published in 1997.
