Definition: Polish high school teacher Walenty Szwajcer was the discoverer of the archaeological site of Biskupin. In 1933, Szwajcer took his students on an excursion to the Lake Biskupin peninsula, where he saw some artifacts eroding out of the lake edge. He reported the site, and the rest is (pre)history.
