Alexander Thom [1894-1985]

Definition: Scottish engineer Alexander Thom is best known in archaeological circles for his painstaking recordation of Stonehenge and other megalithic sites in the United Kingdom conducted in the 1960s. Although his theories concerning celestial alignments are not seriously considered among scholars, his rigorous measurements and studies are invaluable to megalithic researchers.
